Happy Compost, easier to turn and composts faster!

Our goal is to make composting as easy as possible. We designed Happy Compost in response to some of the weak points in existing rotating and stationary composters, which can be:

• Difficult to mix and lacking in aeration
• resulting in: slow composting, potentially mediocre compost quality and at worst, people getting discouraged!

Happy Compost is easier to turn and composts faster:

• Integrated handles for easier turning of the barrel around a central axis: give it a spin twice a week or when you add new material (read testimonies)
• Optimal aeration due to multiple openings and more frequent mixing
• Faster composting thanks to better mixing of organic matter and better aeration: you can produce 2 to 4 batches per year depending on available materials and if you follow instructions in the User Guide
• Easy to install: put metal rod through marked holes in the barrel, deposit on supplied supports and stabilize bases with supplied wood (view our demonstration video)
• Easy to empty: once half full, stop adding materials for 2 to 3 weeks to finish off decomposition. Tip barrel downwards and take finished compost out of top opening
• Safely closed thanks to the screw-on top made of thick plastic to keep pests and animals out
• Maximum of reused materials: the second life of a barrel and a metal rod - avoiding the environmental impacts of new materials! Read our data sheet.
